The practices of Ancient Medicine & Naturopathy have been bringing healing to people successfully for thousands of years. They accomplish this by restoring your body’s energy and supporting your organs and systems to function effectively. In essence, they support your body’s own ability to heal. And yes, your body DOES have the ability to heal, even if it’s been a long time since you felt your best. Ancient Medicine practices draw from nature, restoring vital energy and balance, using tools like herbs, nutrition, acupuncture or acupressure and body work.
The roots of Modern Medicine began in the late 1700’s, which makes it barely 250 years old. Modern Medicine can save lives in acute situations, but unfortunately when it comes to chronic health problems the most it can offer is band-aide solutions. Prescription medications do not bring healing; otherwise, when you discontinued them, you would be better. No, they control symptoms rather than heal you. This can definitely have value in certain situations, but because all medications have side effects of varying degrees, (even OTC meds that don’t require a prescription) they are not the best long-term solution.
Truly the best health outcomes occur when you use Modern Medicine to handle an acute situation, and simultaneously use Naturopathy to bring actual healing. You can use them together to help every situation. I’ve helped many people recover from accidents, surgeries, cancer treatments and other urgent situations by supporting their healing alongside their medical treatments. The two are not mutually exclusive. Each brings important things to the table.

My first career was in fitness & nutrition. (1974-1989) During this time, I became fascinated with the role stress played in health and started nursing school to broaden my training. Life intervened before I could finish, and I had to leave school to be a single mom and support my two boys. Then God intervened and I met and worked under a naturopath, which opened my eyes to the role toxicity plays in human health & disease, and the beauty of healing that homeopathy, nutrition and herbs can bring.
For the next 4 years I worked under this mentor while studying a different path. I got my Nutrition certification from American Health Science University, then my Traditional Naturopath degree from Trinity School of Natural Health. I continue training to this day, because the environment and our food supply continue to worsen, and I want to sharpen my craft to bring the best help possible to those I serve.
I completed a 2-year Biological Medicine training with Dr Thomas Rau of the Paracelsus Klinik in Switzerland and his team. I took trainings from Dr Detrich Klinghardt from what is now known as the Sophia Institute. I have taken training from Dr Datis Kharazian, Dr Jake Fratkin, Dr Devi Nambudripad, Dr Todd Watts, Dr Jay Davidson, Dr Lisa Palmer and many others. I opened the clinic now known as Vitality Project in 1994.
This career is a calling for me. I put my heart and soul into each person who walks through the door looking for help, and I would love to do the same for you!
